It should be noted that Ponda Baba has two different sets of hands in the film. The costume began with the hoof like hands see above, but for the close up of his severed arm there is a hairy fingered hand. Also the gun lying next to the arm is Dr. Evazan's gun not Ponda Baba's. The change of hands was probably because if we saw a hoofed arm on the laying there we'd probably wonder how he held the gun. The incorrect gun on the ground was probably just an error, since it's hard to see Ponda Baba's gun during the conflict, but Dr. Evazan's is clearly visible.
THE JACKET
Ponda Baba's jacket is a racing jacket made in England at the time. The zipper has been removed, but he rest of the jacket seems to have been left intact. The breast pocket and two side pockets were left alone. Luke Skywalker wears the same jacket, only yellow and highly modified, during the rebel ceremony .
THE BELT
The gunbelt is 1 3/4" brown leather with an oval metal belt buckle available from Tandy Leather.
THE BOOTS
Ponda Baba wears brown riding boots with a smooth finish.
